PRIVATE OR GROUP COURSE LESSONS
On course instruction is one of the best ways to receive instruction from a Golf Professional. It provides real life problems and allows your professional to give you real solutions to on course situations. On course instruction puts players in tricky lies with real shot pressure to perform. Teachers will be able to talk about course management along with the best way to prepare your mental state before a shot and how to handle a bad swing. On course instruction is invaluable to a player trying to develop his or her game.

Over the past 30 years I have played junior golf as a member of the Northern Nevada Junior Golf Association, high school golf for Loyalton High School, college golf for California State University Stanislaus, and professional golf. I have also spent 26 of those 30 years as a Plumas Pines Golf Resort employee, 15 as the Head Professional.
At age 41, I have been very active in teaching because I greatly enjoy helping others improve their game. I balance my instructional time between individual and group lessons, clinics and schools. Over the past 22 years I have expanded from the traditional individual lesson to junior golf clinics, men’s and ladies’ club clinics, and golf academies with over 150 students. I have also added video instruction with a take home cd/dvd of your lesson.
Golf has awarded me with the opportunity to meet many interesting people, play many amazing golf courses, cherish many great memories, and, most of all, have a lot of fun. I hope my commitment to the people, the game, and the business of golf will help to instill positive influences upon all those I meet.
MEET THE PROS
I am very excited to join the staff here at Plumas Pines Golf Resort. Golf has been a major passion of mine since I was 10 years old. I grew up in a small farm town in east central Indiana where I learned to play golf. I played golf competitively growing up all through high school.
After graduating from high school I went to the Professional Golfers Career College in Hilton Head, South Carolina. I earned a degree in professional golf management when I graduated in 2011. I gained teaching experience in school by hosting golf lessons and also assisting with several junior clinics. I have always had a passion for teaching others the game of golf. Seeing students do well, whether an individual lesson or a group lesson, is what drives me to become a better instructor.
I have played competitive golf for over 20 years. Over these years I have been fortunate to learn many things from a variety of wonderful golf professionals. It has become my passion to share my knowledge with others that enjoy this amazing game. In my experience teaching is one of the most rewarding ventures I’ve undertaken. Through years of clinics and junior camps I’ve gained a unique respect for the challenge and excitement that teaching brings to not only the student but the teacher. The Beauty of this great game is your never stop learning, and to that I love to share what I’ve learned and look forward to what I still have to learn.
