Longboards Chef ~ Ravyn Rodriguez

I was born and raised in Portola, California. After graduating from Portola High School, I attended the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. From there, I went on to apprentice at the Iron Door restaurant, under Peter Schmidt. I then went on to work for the Peppermill Corporation, where I was the Chef De Cuisine in the Steak House at their sister property, Western Village. After running the Steak House for eight years, I went to work at Charlie Palmer Steak House in the Grand Sierra Resort where I worked with David Holman, Charlie Palmer’s executive Chef. I was able to spend six months in the pastry department, really getting comfortable making desserts, preparing everything from scratch. After five years at Charlie Palmers, I went to work for Atlantis Casino. I started working in the Steak House and after a short time, I was promoted to sous chef and helped to reopen the newly remolded Toucan Charlie Buffet.

May 4 – 26, Longboards is open from 5:00-9:00 p.m. for dinner Thursday-Sunday

Starting May 27, Longboards is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner

Lunch:  12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.     Dinner: 5:00pm – 9:00pm

October 1 – 21, Longboards is open from 5:00-9:00 p.m. for dinner Thursday-Sunday
